Staying Focused

The author of this book spends quite some time of it emphasizing the importance of remaining centered and focused. The main issue being that working from home can provide a number of distractions that could affect productivity considerably. She tells the story of how her parents required increasingly more attention, help and care, and how her productivity was so affected as they moved in with her, declining to go to a home. Her love for her parents made her look for alternatives to not go against their wishes, and found them in the way of a company called Home Care Assistance Fremont. Their parents were delighted because they could move back into their own home and gain a bit of their independence back, and as the author stated, she gained a valuable lesson in distractions and focus working from home, which netted her a new found level of productivity.
